Quartz mechanism is proven and reliable for accuracy. I'll probably sell my Submariner. This watch is a keeper. It took me a week to find the owner's manual & warranty hidden in a "secret" compartment in the box, but the manual doesn't go into any detail about functions other than setting the time and operating the stopwatch.
