Getting the stem in the right position to set day and date was a little tricky, but I've never had a watch where that wasn't the case. Very happy with the appearance of this watch. No frills, but solid in look and feel. I believe that Seiko is the parent company of Epson. Since I've had a Epson printer (R1800) with which I've been extremely pleased, going to Seiko for a watch was almost a no-brainer (have to be careful using that expression - comes too close to the truth at times).
